Lady's finely ground, self rising, white cornmeal mix is ground fresh in a Georgia grist mill.
Lady's cornbread recipe was born in 1885 when she made it as a side dish for JC's ribs and pulled pork during BBQ competitions. Each time the ribs and pulled pork would win a blue ribbon our family joked that it was really Lady's cornbread that won. Lady still makes her amazing cornbread for family, catered events and in hers and JC's BBQ restaurant. It's just to good not to share.
