Cathy and Carie Crain are mother and daughter who combine their talents in clay and mixed media. "Cathy has been an artist since she was old enough to hold a crayon and draw on walls." 

While her children were growing up she owned her own advertising and graphic arts firm. She then started creating jewelry and garments. Eventually, her daughter Carie joined her in her business.

On a whim, she decided to explore ceramics and after a few years, she and her daughter created Crain Art Studio. Their work reflects their love of animals and passion for color and texture.
